"I have been a season ticket holder to the Hollywood Bowl and Ahmanson since the 1970’s and I know how wonderful and enlightening performances in the arts can be,'' he said.

"I requested membership on the Education Committee because, as lawyer involved in Education Law, I hope to continue the Music Center’s outreach program in education to enrich lives the of our local students and, with luck, inspire them to expand their horizons to embrace the arts,'' Neal added.

The La Cañada resident further pointed out that Grand Park, which is now part of the Music Center, is a good example of how the Music Center can reach out and involve a whole new segment of the population in the arts.

As member of the Music Center Board, Neal will serve on the audit committee and the education committee. He hopes to increase the exposure of the Music Center and it various musical and theatrical performances to primary and secondary students in Los Angeles County, especially those who are less privileged and with whom Neal works in his practice with charter schools.
