POPS 2012: Rhapsody in Gershwin
LCPC's Chancel Choir and the Jack Lantz Little Big Band are presenting an evening of Pops music, dance, frolic and fun. This year’s theme is “Rhapsody in Gershwin” featuring the music of George and Ira Gershwin from Broadway, Hollywood and Tin Pan Alley. In this presidential election year, the Pops cast will present a truncated version of the Gershwin’s Pulitzer prizewinning musical “Of Thee I Sing,” also known as “Wintergreen for President.”
Come hear many of your favorite Broadway, film, jazz, and popular songs presented in a fast-paced fun environment by a great cast in our sanctuary, which will be temporarily converted into a Broadway theatre for these two days only. The singing, dancing and comedy are infectious and will send you out with a smile on your face and a song (or two) in your heart.
Tickets are $20 for reserved seats in the front rows, $15 for general admission, $10 for children under twelve, and $50 for a General Admission Family Plan. Tickets can be purchased via the church office and at the door.
