Moonday East Poetry Reading

Moonday East will feature poets R.G. Cantalupo and Connie Walle, hosted this month by Lois P. Jones.  The East Side reading occurs on the 3rd Sunday of every month.  There will be an open mic as well - come early to sign up.

R.G. Cantalupo's work has been published in over a hundred literary journals throughout the U.S., Canada, and England.  His book of poetry "Say" was a runner-up for the John Ciardi award in poetry.  His other poetry collections include Walking Water on Earth, The Art of Naming, Involving Residence, and "No Thanks."  His play "Heart" was presented at the Kennedy Center as a National Finalist.  Cantalupo is the Artistic Director and founder of The Little Theater in West Los Angeles where he continues to write and direct plays.

Connie Walle is from Tacoma, Washington, and is the President and founder of Puget Sound Poetry Connection where she hosts the "Distinguished Writer Series" now in its 23rd year.  She also founded "Our Own Words," a teen writing contest.  A few of her publications include Floating Bridge Press, Raven Chronicle, Tahoma's Shadow, and Cradle Song.
