Wind Warning Issued for San Gabriel Valley

Winds are expected to intensify throughout the day and last through Wednesday morning.

Winds are blowing through the San Gabriel Valley foothills Tuesday and are expected to continue through 9 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Winds 35 mph or greater are possible in the San Gabriel mountains until 5 p.m. Then, stronger northerly wind gusts are expected to hit the area and last through the night.

A High Wind Warning has been issued for this evening, meaning winds could blow at more than 40 mph.

The winds are expected to die down in the San Gabriel Valley on Wednesday, but will still whip the Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara mountains, and L.A. and Ventura County valleys.
