Rain Ahead: Do You Have Your Sand Bags Ready?

Allied Waste provided a large sand bin in the parking lot of in La Crescenta. Most of the area sand bags have deteriorated over time and need to be replaced and or reinstalled, according to the CV Town Council website

Many of the sandbag buffers erected last winter atop Ocean View Boulevard, a La Cañada street that frequently floods and suffered mudslides after the 2009 Station Fire, man need to be repaired or replaced.

Saturday: A chance of drizzle before 10 a.m. Patchy fog before 10 a.m. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 56 degrees. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south.

Saturday Night: A 20 percent chance of rain after 10 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47 degrees.

Sunday: A 40 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 54 degrees.

Sunday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48 degrees.
