Photo Gallery: A Snowy Wonderland in the Foothills

Snow fell - and stayed - in the foothills Saturday.

Snow dusted La Cañada Flintridge and La Crescenta Saturday, sticking to roads and cars. A cold upper level low pressure system brought significant rain and snow to the foothills, along with wind gusts of five to 10 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

While precipitation has tapered off, the NWS advises drivers to watch for slick conditions known as black ice, patches of ice camouflaged by the roadway. Temperatures will remain frigid, with lows in the mid 20s and highs Sunday in the upper 30s.  Normal February temperatures in the low 50s will return Monday.
