LC Key Club, Kiwanis Team Up for Community Service

The one-on-one program took kids and Kiwanians to the Crescenta-Cañada YMCA recently.

Twenty-five members from La Cañada High School Key Club, and the LC Middle School Builders Club, and 20 members of their parent organization, the Noon Kiwanis Club of LaCañada, teamed up recently to paint rails and rooms at the Crescenta-Canada YMCA.

The program was also conducted on the same day that thousands of Kiwanis clubs around the world work closely with the children as part of the “Serving the Children of the World” campaign.

The La Cañada Kiwanis club supports Habitat for Humanity, the La Cañada Tournament ofroses, annual La Cañada Memorial day activities, a Fiesta Days Barbecue, a program welcoming new teachers in the La Cañada Schools, and a program honoring the Tournament of Roses Rose Queen and Court, In addition, this club annually supports a Rabies Clinic, a disadvantaged schoolliteracy program and other community events.
