La Canada Junior Women's Club Raises Money for Families in Need

Local ladies help raise $30,000 for The Haven House and The Ronald McDonald House.

Michelle and Tim Sabourin graciously invited over 100 La Canada Junior Women's Club members and their spouses to their new home for the club's annual fundraiser. 

Guests dressed for the 1920s - April in Paris theme, sipped specialty drinks and bid on silent auction items, while gazing out at the San Gabriel mountains and twinkling lights beyond.

The Spot Gourmet in Glendale catered the delicious dinner of potatoes, green beans and savory beef tenderloin.

Afterwards, members reached into their wallets for the exciting Live Auction items. An Oakwood vacation package and Ellen DeGeneres VIP tickets were some of the big ticket items sold. The event raised some $30,000, with proceeds benefitting Haven House, a sober living home in Los Angeles, and The Ronald McDonald House in Pasadena. 

Throughout the evening Melissa Mazin encouraged everyone to participate in her wine toss. It was a fun game where everyone was a winner.

Overall, the party raised $30,000 to benefit Haven House and the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House.

It was a great evening for club members to catch up with cherished friends and build new friendships with the provisional class, while raising funds to give back to those in need.
