Is This Billboard 'Not Very La Cañada-ish'?

The sign offends at least one of our readers. What do you think?

La Cañada Flintridge Patch got an email with a photo from an upset resident about the billboard on Foothill Boulevard advertising the new movie Kick Ass 2. Here is the email:

Are you kidding me??! Ass is a bad word at our house and now my kids get to read it on the way to school and the park?  Not very la canada"ish"

And in a second email:
Who is in charge of approving those billboards? I'm actually surprised la canada allows billboards in the first placeThe movie is a sequel to the 2010 film Kick Ass. The film series features child superheroes and depicts extreme acts of violence, which earned both films an "R" rating despite it starring children. Actor Jim Carrey has a supporting role in the sequel, but recently denounced the violence in the film, writing on Twitter, “I did Kickass a month b4 Sandy Hook and now in all good conscience I cannot support that level of violence.”

We're not sure at Patch what the billboard laws are in LCF or who is in charge of them, but we will look into it. In the meantime, what do you think? Does the billboard offend you? Does it belong on Foothill Boulevard? How much crass language is too crass for a billboard? Is it La Canada-ish or not? Tell us in the comments.
