Snow Festival Will Go On Despite Weather

Enjoy breakfast with Santa snow and winter festivities in Arcadia.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas; the annual Holiday Festival returns to Arcadia on Saturday.

Have breakfast and get your picture taken with Santa before enjoying the one snow day Arcadia will likely have this year.

The Holiday Snow Festival features two snow play areas, dual sled runs, crafts, trolley train rides and entertainment — all free to Arcadia residents.

"The City of Arcadia is happy to host a fun filled day including snow play areas, sled runs, entertainment, and even a visit from Santa Claus for breakfast and photos,” Assistant Director of Recreation Ryan Wright said.

Breafast with Santa is $8 per person, and you may choose between the 8:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m. seating or the 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. seating. Space is limited, however, and reservations must be made in advance.

Call (626) 574-5113 for more information.

For those who don't want breakfast, the Surfer Taco and Downtown Dogs food trucks will be available for purchase from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

The event begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Community Center at 365 Campus Drive.

Park at the Centennial Way entrance of the Santa Anita Race Track and hop aboard the free shuttle to the Community Center. Shuttle service begins at 7:45 a.m.

Won't the festival be postponed to the following Saturday (Dec. 8th) if it is raining on Saturday, as the weather forecast seems to say?

Hey Hubert. I'm still awaiting word from the city to see if Snow Day is officially canceled. Will keep everyone updated.
