Forest Roads to Reopen at 5 p.m. Monday

Roads in the Angeles National Forest closed Saturday due to snow and icy conditions will reopen late Monday afternoon.

The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works has announced the reopening of the following roads in the Angeles National Forest that were closed on March 17 due to snow and icy conditions:

• Angeles Forest Highway from Aliso Canyon Road to Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road

• Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road from Angeles Forest Highway to SR-2 (Angeles Crest Highway)

The roads will reopen by 5 p.m. Monday. 

However, icy conditions may still be present so motorists are advised to use caution when traveling all mountain roads, according to the Coordinated Agency Recovery Effort (C.A.R.E.) website at www.dpwcare.org.
