Goodbye Darkness, Hello Festival in Lights (Photo Gallery)

Power Outages failed to stop the annual Festival in Lights Friday, as reindeer, snowball fights and singing students took center stage at Memorial Park.

Zipped into their winter warmest, school kids and toddlers scrabbled up icy mounds and hurled snow balls at each other to kick off La Cañada's annual

Co-sponsored by the city and the La Cañada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce, Friday's event unfolded flawlessly, despite many from .

This year's festival featured Chamber singers, as well as choral groups from the elementary schools. Winners of were also acknowledged; the 2012 Royal Court consists of Lauren Barsamian, Sarah Bartine, Joelle Dorse and Amy Young, all of LCHS, and Kendall Millard of Westridge School in Pasadena.
