St. Francis Seniors Say Goodbye to High School

Patch took in the scenes surrounding the Class of 2011.

It’s called a commencement ceremony for a reason. The graduating seniors of St. Francis High School are starting on a new path, moving into adulthood and higher education.

For Saturday’s graduation, the quad at St. Francis was filled with parents, relatives, and girlfriends.  Flowers, balloons, and leis (both flowers and dollar bills) greeted the students as they made their way to the front patio of the school after receiving their diplomas and moving their tassels from left to right.

Judging by the number of students who received honors, the Class of 2011 was a very special group of young men.  Principal Thomas G. Moran said in his address that after more than 20 years as a principal, this was the first time he was at a loss for words.
