Nitrous Oxide and Nudity Lead to Arrest in La Cañada
Deputies found a Los Angeles man asleep in a parked car, clutching a can of nitrous oxide.
Responding to a call about a naked man yelling and running around a La Cañada street, deputies from the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department found another man passed out in a parked car clutching a nitrous oxide cylinder, authorities said.
After officials took the naked man to Huntington Memorial Hospital, just after 4:30 a.m. Saturday, deputies discovered Phillip Augustin Gandara, 18, of Los Angeles, asleep in a car near the 300 block of Santa Inez Way, according to a police report.
Gandara, in the back seat holding a large, metal, pressurized gas cylinder, awoke to the deputies rousing, the report reads. He reportedly told deputies that he had been inhaling nitrous oxide.

Deputies noted that Gandara showed no signs or symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Ganadara reportedly refused to tell deputies from whom he had purchased the tank or how much had had paid for it.
He was transported to the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station and booked for possession of nitrous oxide.
